Teachers crying out for volunteers in schools
The need for Inspiring the Future is clear, so volunteers better get on board
We need to give young people a chance!
Young people in Australia have a wealth of career options at their fingertips, but do they really know about them? For the last 5 years, the youth unemployment rate in Australia has continued to rise, settling now on 13.3%. The need for a motivated and skilled workforce coming from our schools is becoming more urgent as our population is ageing. Inspiring the Future Australia (ITF) aims to address this issue by connecting schools with volunteers from the world of work with the click of a button.
Teachers can't get enough of ITF
Since March alone, we've had 50 teachers sign up to use the ITF platform, and that number is growing by the day. They, better than anyone, understand the need there is for authentic connections between young people and the world of work. Even though you may think information is readily accessible today, and all young people need to do is read about others work life. "95% of young people would like employers to be more involved in providing advice and guidance about careers and jobs."
You don't need an amazing story to volunteer
Students in Australia want to hear real experiences, from real people. Everyone in every industry has something to contribute! Match the enthusiasm of Australian teachers by signing up as a volunteer and make a difference in the lives of young Australians. At the heart of ITF are volunteers talking informally about their job, career and their educational route, in order to broaden the horizons and raise the aspirations of young people. Volunteers just like you! Click the orange sign up button and make an impact today.
